The Real Deal
The actual bang-for-your-buck fashion dupes, beauty products, and totally random items I'm glad I bought at Amazon.
A bargain is only a bargain if the item has value. Who hasn’t been wooed by Amazon’s low prices and a) overfilled her cart with things she didn’t need and b) been left with cheaply made junk past their return windows? (Asking for a friend, of course.)
Thankfully, though, a lot of what I’ve purchased from Amazon over the last year has passed my newly minted real deal test — reasonably priced + good quality + useful to my life — to earn the MoClo stamp of approval. Below is a running list of my current recommendations that I will pin to my homepage and update over time:
The cuter-than-Ugg dupes that received unsolicited compliments from my daughter.
The chain (comes in several lengths), the necklace, and the earrings that are all staples in my wardrobe.
A perfect winter candle that transcends typical holiday scents.
The fur-lined sweats I love for early morning dog walks (and après ski in my mind).
A bodysuit I love for its flattering neckline.
The comfortable and compact stadium seats that have literally supported us through youth sport-a-palooza.
The Gucci dupes that I wore for Xmas Eve.
My late night reading buddy.
The better-than-Lulu dupe leggings that I wear for every single workout.
The cashmere ones that converted me to longer socks.
The studs that look like a girl’s best friend.
The chopper/grater/slicer device that stopped my onion tears.
The brow growth serum that I’ve raved about before but is cheaper by subscription.
The classic trench every wardrobe needs.
My favorite facial sunscreen that’s hydrating and doesn’t pill under makeup.
The body wash and acne spray that my son likes (also cheaper by subscription).
A coatigan for all seasons in a rainbow of colors.
The best travel jewelry holder because the organization makes sense.
The crochet coverup that works over everything, with sleeves and without.
A mini vacuum for cleaning hard-to-access corners in drawers and bins.
The fabric shaver I never knew I needed in my life.
The cute, convertible mittens I stash in coat pockets.
My must for life on-the-go.
The mattress topper that adds a little something extra.
A no-tarnish flex for your fave athlete.
The trio of DIY barista buys (one, two and three) that have successfully curtailed our Starbucks habit.
Note: Sometimes the products I independently recommend use affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase, I may get a small commission at no cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting Motivated Clone.
